NOVEMBER 2, 2023 - I loved getting to meet via Zoom with the 8th graders at Mighty Oak Academy who are reading the two books in the Small Ones series. At first most of them were slumped in their seats, hoodies up, like most middle-school students. But when my cat Lola pushed her way into my office and jumped on my lap, the ice was broken. They loved it when she kept sticking her tail up and I had to put it down. They are a GREAT group of kids who asked very deep questions about my writing process and my faith!
